PHEASANTS FOREVER
NORTHERN COLORADO CHAPTER
April 9, 2008
Tom Kramer called the meeting to order at 6:37pm at Sportsman’s
Warehouse in Loveland.
There were 11 members present.
Minutes from March were approved with one change on the Banquet.
Treasurer’s Report
Approved.
Habitat
The conflict between the CDOW and Landowners in the
Burlington/Wray areas over water was discussed. We do not want
to pick sides but we encourage a mutual resolution in the Wray
situation and may support it with funds.
CRP and the farm bill were discussed. The Federal Government
sometimes moves very slowly on what we think is important
legislation.
CDOW may pay farmers to leave more stubble on wheat and corn
fields.
Youth Hunt
We had 36 youth who killed 39 pheasants. This is the largest
amount that did not escape. Bob Hix presented our chapter with
$500 for a share of helping out with brats in Bass Pros fishing
Expo. in March. Help will be needed in August. He also
presented a couple of awards to our Chapter and Youth Chairs for
a great youth program.
