Banquet
Due to concerns about pricing, at the Ranch, the banquet committee is investigating other venues.  Moving the banquet to the Elks Lodge would save a considerable amount of money   Members were encouraged to check out the facility and offer input.

Items for the banquet were discussed in detail.  The banquet package is minimized compared to previous years and is offered by National at $1049 for 12 items.  A SportDog package with a retail value of $300 is offered for early orders of $3000 including the banquet package.  It was moved by Doug Finnman to not purchase the banquet package, but order the items we want ale carte.  It was seconded and the motion carried.

Heritage Printing (east of I-25 near the State Patrol Office) will frame prints for $88 per print and has offered to donate a print and provide glass cups.

Jim Smith will provide a log frame furniture item in exchange for 3 admissions to the banquet.

New Business
Kevin Martin informed the chapter that Bob Hix –will be asking all chapters in Colorado for a statewide commitment of $120,000 over a 2 year period to fund 2 farm bill biologists.  After considerable discussion, it was decided to ask Bob to attend the next monthly meeting and provide more details on ongoing funding, etc.

Meeting called at 8:45 pm
