PHEASANTS FOREVER
NORTHERN COLORADO CHAPTER
November 14, 2007

Tom Kramer called the meeting to order at 7:02pm, at Jax Mercantile
There were 6 members present.
There were no minutes from October.

Treasurer’s Report
Approved.

Habitat
Dean looked at Mick’s land at Stoneham.  Some type of intervention needs to be done. It has mainly short grass habitat.  We will get input from Drew Larson as to what would be best. Dean has an email in to Ed Gorman to see if DOW will help with costs.  Stan Elmore has plans for several guzzlers.  They would be good at Grover and Stoneham.  Pheasants don’t need extra water but survival is probably easier with them especially in these drought years.

Budweiser has 7000 acres with 1800 irrigated and are looking for help to increase pheasants.  We may look at this as a fundraiser and will investigate to see what future uses may be.   It might be a good place to use for youth wild bird hunts.

Youth Hunt
Tom shared a picture and thank you card from a prior youth hunt.

Website
Erick is moving to a different host with more capabilities. Officers may have nocopf.com as an email address.  It can be set up several ways including a forward  to their primary email.  The pictures from the youth hunt are not yet on the web page.
